With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Zvonimir Franjic, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
Zvonimir was born on October 31, 1955, in Mrakovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. At the age of 32, he made the courageous decision to move to Canada, where he built a life rooted in hard work, faith, and family.
He was a devoted husband to his loving wife, Anka Franjic, and a proud and caring father to his son, Marko Franjic, and daughter, Kristina Blanas. He was a cherished father-in-law to Shalina Franjic and Nickolaos Blanas, and an incredibly proud grandfather to Sebastian, Mila, Sonia, Ariana, and Gabriella, who brought him endless joy. He shared a special bond with his granddaughter Gabriella, caring for her and spending precious time together.
Zvonimir is also lovingly remembered by his siblings in Croatia, Ana, Draga, and Smiljan, who survive him.
A hardworking man, Zvonimir spent his life as a drywaller, always dedicated to providing for his family. But beyond his work, he was known for his character. He was a kind and gentle soul who never spoke ill of others and was always ready to lend a helping hand. Anyone who met him felt his warmth.
He had a playful and funny nature, and he truly loved being around people. Whether surrounded by family or friends, he found joy in a full house, laughter, and togetherness.
Zvonimir was a man of deep faith who believed strongly in God. His faith gave him strength throughout his life and brought him peace in his final days. Even during his passing, he remained in good spirits, a reflection of the strength and grace he carried within him.
We are deeply proud of the man he was and grateful that he was ours. He will be forever missed and always remembered in our hearts.
The family would like to sincerely thank everyone for their prayers, love, and messages during this difficult time.
