Well, the cat’s finally used up his nine lives. It is with great sadness that Bill’s family announces his passing on Wednesday December 7, 2011.
With his devoted wife of 62 years Enid, his daughter Brenda and good friend Eileen by his side, Bill had a peaceful final voyage in the Palliative Care Unit of Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay, ON. He is missed by his son-in-law Max and his grandson Griffin who was really looking forward to gardening with his Dada this spring. He was an exemplary husband, father, provider, father-in-law, grandfather, uncle, sailor and friend. Special thanks to the nurses, doctors, paramedics and Fr. Tom for their gentle care.
Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Road (North of Lawrence Ave. W.) Weston on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9pm.
A Celebration of Bill’s life will be held in the chapel on Saturday at 10am.
Interment to follow at Sanctuary Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to Ross Memorial Hospital-Palliative Care Unit would be appreciated.
