William “Bill” Dawson Charles
June 18, 1938- January 15, 2013
Passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Tuesday, January 15, 2013. Beloved husband to Nancy for 54 years. Cherished father to Paul (Merrill) and Craig (Karen). Proud papa to Bryan. Bill will be sadly missed by his brother Robert (Lillias), nephews Scott (Meg) and Grant (Lisa), niece Linda (John), and nephew Jim (Julie) and their families as well as many friends. Bill came to Canada in 1963 from Glasgow, Scotland. He was a life member of the Bishop Brigg Lodge 1259 A.F. & A.M. Grand Lodge of Scotland. Bill had a happy life filled with great memories of friends and his sailboat on Georgian Bay. As a millwright, Bill made many lifelong friends, some of which he apprenticed with in Scotland. He will be dearly missed by all as a fun loving and caring man. Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 52 Main Street S. (Hwy 10) Brampton, on Sunday, January 20, 2013 from 2:00- 5:00 p.m. Bill’s funeral service will be held on Monday at 1 p.m. in the chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
