It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Walter Voss on June 5, 2026, at the age of 87. Walter will be deeply missed by his beloved wife Marilyn of 45 wonderful years of love, laughter and companionship. Together they built a life centered on family, hard work and unwavering devotion.
He leaves behind his loving stepdaughters Francine (Norm) and Tracy (Marc) and loving children Nicole (Dave), Oliver (Lisa) and Stephanie (Todd). Walter was a proud and devoted Grandpa to Alyssa, Ethan and Emma and Opa to Amy (Peter), Katie, Brenton, Sean, Kyle, Mackenzie and Elisha and great-grandfather to Scarlett, Henry and Jacob.
Walter was a man who was always active, never sitting still for long. His first activity of choice was tennis followed by cycling and spending time near the water. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved nature and wildlife. He had an adventurous spirit and was always looking for a challenge. A true night owl, Walter often ended his evenings relaxing with a glass of brandy after dinner.
Known for his remarkable handyman skills, Walter could fix, build or repair just about anything. He was often the very first person family and friends called when a helping hand was needed. He was dependable, knowledgeable and always someone others could count on.
Walter also had a well-known sweet tooth that earned him the affectionate nickname “The Cookie Monster.” Second only to his love for cheesecake, Walter could indulge freely in both without gaining an ounce to the envy of all around him.
Above all, Walter was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. His strength, kindness, reliability, and sense of humor will be remembered and treasured by all whose lives he touched.
Walter is now reunited with his beloved Rottweiler, Keisha, whose companionship brought him great joy over the years.
Though he will be greatly missed, his legacy lives on through the family he loved so dearly and the countless memories they shared. His steady presence, helping hands, and loving heart will remain with us always.
