Walter Triglav

It is with sad hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our dear Walter after a prolonged illness on Saturday June 20, 2015 in Toronto at the age of 85. Beloved husband of Ibolya Triglav for 59 years. Loving father of Lucille Fowler and her husband Scott, Tom, Stella Cooke and her husband Doug. Cherished grandpa of Lauren, Ryan, Brett, Katherine, Joseph, Kristen, Carolyn and Michael. Walter's first love was for his wife and family, his second love was for his consulting engineering profession which included his own consulting engineering company. He was also an avid photographer, an inventor with a couple of notable patents and enjoyed learning various languages. Our heartfelt thanks to his wonderful caregivers and all the staff at Weston Terrace (Leisureworld) for their exceptional support over the last five years. Visitation will be held at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Road (North of Lawrence Ave. W.) on Wednesday June 24 from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at All Saints Catholic Church, 1415 Royal York Road on Thursday June 25 at 9:30 am. Donations in memory of Walter may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Ontario or to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada.
