Peacefully after a brief illness, on Saturday May 11th, 2013 at Humber River Regional Hospital Church Street at the age of 83. Beloved husband of Stella for 59 years and your friendly butcher in Weston for 36 years. Loving father of Wally and his wife Julie and Lynne and her husband Cleo Ducharme. Cherished gido of David, Brian and Daniel. Dear brother William. Predeceased by his son and daughter in law, Brian and Sandra Dushenko and grandson Andrew. Wally was actively involved in the Weston community for many years with Scouting, Guides and Special Needs Olympic Curling at the Weston Golf and Country Club.
Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home 2035 Weston Road (north of Lawrence Ave) Weston, on Monday from 7-9 pm and on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm . A service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday May 15th at 3 pm. Cremation to follow. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart & Stoke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
