Walter "Bruce" Logan

LOGAN, WALTER (BRUCE) born February 23, 1938, passed away peacefully today December 23, 2023. Husband of Margaret Jean, nee Vinden, for 60 years. Beloved dad to Derek Bruce (Heather), Carole Anne Denise (Blaise), and Robert Andrew Norman (Sharon). Beloved Grandpa to Alyssa, Brandon, Kyle, and Rebecca. Honourary Grandpa to Amy and Robert.
Bruce was predeceased by his siblings, Bill (Leila), June (Dave Adjey), and Bob (Gladys). He was Uncle to his many nieces and nephews. Brother-in-law to Barry (Bonnie) Vinden, Robin, and the late Gail Vinden and Royston (Sheila) Vinden.
Bruce suffered two strokes over the years which led him to volunteering with his friend Paul Mascotti at the Brampton Osler Hospital and Aphasia group. He received the Governor General Award for his volunteer work in 2016.
He loved to golf and spent many happy moments on the golf course both here and in Florida with his friend Bob Mackay, who he met when he was 7. He was a Queen Scout. Most of all Bruce loved his garden. His lawn was his pride and joy and it was with great reluctance that he was forced to give it up last year. He loved travelling, and carving turkeys on special occasions. Bruce loved going to watch his children and grandchildren participate in various sports and activities. He especially enjoyed playing chopsticks with Alyssa.

Bruce will be missed by his family and friends.

There will be a Celebration of Life held on January 28th at Carl's Catering, The Glen, 1857 Queen Street West in Brampton, Ontario from noon until 3:00p.m.

In Bruce's memory, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
