In Loving Memory of Vladimir Prhat
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, neighbour and friend, Vladimir Prhat. He passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at Etobicoke General Hospital, surrounded by his family, following a battle with cancer.
Vladimir will be deeply missed by his loving daughter Natalie Prhat and her daughters, Gia and Victoria Vinci; his cherished grandchildren Matea Perkovic and Denis Perkovic, children of his late daughter Lorena; and Matea’s fiancé, Colin. We take comfort in imagining him reunited with his beloved wife Ida and their daughter Lorena.
Originally from Istra, Croatia, Vladimir made Brampton his home for many decades. As a member of the Istra Učka Canadian Club, he maintained a cherished connection to his Croatian roots and formed many lasting friendships.
He loved tending his garden, caring for his home, and working with his hands to build and fix things. His home was a place of pride, and spending time with family and friends brought him joy.
During the last three weeks of his life, his niece Mirijana travelled from Istra, Croatia, to care for him and spend precious time by his side. Those weeks were filled with the comfort of his favourite meals and visits from some of his closest friends from Istrian Gardens.
His family is especially grateful to his dear friend Ljupko, who was always there to visit and spend time with him, and to his dear neighbours Navreet and Suman and their daughter Sarish. Their friendship, kindness and devoted care meant so much to Vladimir and brought comfort to his family.
Vladimir leaves behind a lifetime of memories in the hearts of those who loved him. He will be deeply missed, always loved and never forgotten.
