Vito Colarossi

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Vito Colarossi on July 4, 2023, in his 59th year while on vacation in one of his favorite places, Cuba. Vito was born to Antonio & Annia Colarossi, in Toronto on April 28, 1965.

Beloved father of Anthony (Angelina) & Evan. He will be lovingly remembered by Marina, Cassandra, Josie & Jack. Remembered by Tina.

Vito’s friends and family will remember him as a kind, selfless & caring man who would do anything for his loved ones. He loved coaching his boys whether it was on the soccer field or hockey rink. He earned the nickname ‘The Commissioner’ & ‘Coach’. His family recalls many occasions where ‘the man who could fix anything’ would come to the rescue, no job was too difficult. By trade a letter carrier in Toronto, those on his route would often share that his stop was the highlight of their day. He always took the time to connect and be-friend those around him. He will forever remain in the hearts of all who loved him.

He was, is and always will be the light in all of us who had the privilege of knowing him. Vito lived his life with integrity, always putting the needs of his family and friends first.

Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home (4671 Hwy 7, Woodbridge) on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday, July 27, 2023 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Memorial service will be held at Our Lady of the Annunciation Church (97 King Road, Richmond Hill) Friday, July 28, 2023 at 11:00 a.m., with inurnment to follow at Glendale Cemetery.
