Valentina De Vido

Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at the age of 89, surrounded by the love of her family after spending the day with those she held most dear.

Beloved and devoted wife of the late Oliviero De Vido. Loving and proud mother of Sandra and Linda (Sean). Cherished Nonna of Connor, and adored aunt of Frank (Debbie) and Henry (Pat). She will be greatly missed by her beloved nephews and dear friends.

Born in San Vito al Tagliamento, a beautiful medieval town in the Friuli–Venezia Giulia region of Italy, Valentina was the beloved daughter of Pietro and Luigia Corazza. Deeply proud of her Italian roots, she carried her heritage, values, and traditions with her throughout her life.

Valentina met the love of her life, Oliviero, and together they began a journey marked by devotion and enduring love. They married soon after and built a life grounded in family, hard work, and love.

Valentina found great joy and peace tending to her flower gardens, which were a reflection of her care, patience, and appreciation for beauty. Her greatest pride and joy, however, was her grandson Connor, who held a special place in her heart and was never told "no" by his devoted Nonna.

Valentina will be remembered for her kindness, warmth, and love for her family. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home 4671 Hwy 7, Woodbridge (just west of Pine Valley Dr.) on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Monday January 12, 2026 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow at Beechwood Cemetery.
