At Holland Christian Homes (Grace Manor) in the early hours of Saturday, September 29, 2012, the Lord took unto himself Tunnis(Charlie) Wendel in his 86th year. Now in heaven with his beloved wife Pietje(Patricia) Wendel (nee Van Hoorn)(2003). Loving father of Janette Hoekstra (Klaas), Joanne Broekhuisen (Hans), Charles Wendel (Mary Ann), Margaret Bakkeren (John). Opa of 12 grandchildren and great grandfather of 14. Dear brother and brother in law of Lammert Wendel (Ali) and Albertus Wendel (Tiny), Janny Vander Velde, Meintje Storteboom, Wietske de Jong and of the late Grietje, Aafke, Hank, Martin, Geeske. Oom Tunnis will also be missed by many of his nieces and nephews. Will be missed by all the family and friends in Canada and the Netherlands. Friends may visit with the family at Ward Funeral Home “Brampton Chapel” 52 Main Street South, (Hwy 10) on Tuesday from 7-9pm. A memorial service will be held at Holland Christian Homes (7900 Mclaughlin Road South, Brampton) on Thursday October 4, 2012 at 2:30pm.
