In Loving Memory of Tony Akey
Tony Akey was a man of faith, creativity, music and generosity, whose loving nature remained at the centre of everything he did.
Born in India, Tony carried a deep connection to his home country throughout his life. His Catholic faith was equally important to him. His devotion provided him with comfort, purpose and an ever-present guiding light.
Tony had a wonderfully creative spirit. He was a truly gifted artist. He loved the fun and mystery of magic tricks, which sparked joy in every child he knew. He played the harmonica beautifully and loved to sing. He brought music and laughter into the lives of those around him. He was also exceptionally generous, always giving freely to others.
Tony will be deeply missed by his brother, Peter (Rita) and sister, Sandra (Earl). He was a much-loved uncle to Paul (Pat), Neil (Liz), Samantha (Terry), Pierre (Gina), Alida (Matthew), Charlotte, Rachelle and Mark, and was cherished by each of them.
He was predeceased by his parents, Reginald and Frances; his sister, Maria; and his brother, Adrian.
Tony leaves behind a family who will remember him for his faith, his artistic spirit, his charity, and the many little moments of wonder and laughter he gave to them.
