Passed away, surrounded by his loving family on March 3, 2013 at the age of 73. He is survived by his dear wife of 47 years Teresa, his eternally grateful sons, Nando and Paolo, his daughters-in-law, Josie and Dora, his cherished grandchildren, Tera-Louise, Antonio, Christopher, Gabriele, Marco, Helena, Michela, his sisters Menina, Maria and brother Igino. He is predeceased by his granddaughter Veronica, his brothers Eraldo, Mario, and Francesco and his sisters Imelda and Chiarina. We will all miss him dearly.
Born in the small medieval town of Carapelle, Calvisio (Aquila, Abruzzo) Italy on July 7, 1939 he immigrated to Australia in 1957 and later to Canada in 1966. He was fond of operatic aria, his garden, his cantina but most of all his vast family and friends.
Visitation will take place at Ward Funeral Home, 4671 Highway #7, Woodbridge (905-851-9100) on March 5 (6-9 p.m.) and March 6 (2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m.). Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. David’s Roman Catholic Church, 2601 Major Mackenzie Drive, Maple (905-832-5595) on March 7 at 9:30a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation.
