Tom Foley

It is with sadness that the family of Tom Foley, age 90, announce his peaceful passing on Monday, December 1, 2026. He was a beloved husband to Kathleen (2006), with whom he built a full and rich life. He is survived by his daughters Marie (Tony) and Dana (Tony) as well as his grandsons, Kody (Sisi), Dylan (Paige) and Callum (Gail) and great grandson, Charlie.

Tom was born into a loving Irish family that had a profound respect for books and knowledge. He came to Canada in 1956, encouraged Kathleen to come in 1957 and they were married in 1958. Tom loved his adopted country and was active in his church and the community. He was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus to which he volunteered his construction skills and time through a renovation of the KofC hall as well as his cooking talent at regular Communion breakfasts. He was also a founding member of the Rover Club and Carabram.

Tom loved history, reading and political discourse, passions he passed on to the generations that followed. He was always a kind and generous man. He was patient. He was wise. He was a quiet feminist and believed in the dignity of all. He was a humble man and he will be missed by so many.
