Wayne enjoyed his career at Kodak Canada, working for 37 years in the PET Plant, Warehouse and as a Film Technician. He also enjoyed his 14 years of retirement where he got to spend time doing all the things he loved. He was a wonderful husband to Bonnie and father to Kelly and Matthew. He especially loved babysitting and spending time with his 3 grandchildren Kara, Leah and Wade. Together our family enjoyed many pool parties, family dinners and spending time at the cottage with his parents and his sister and her family.
He was an avid golfer and enjoyed hosting the Annual McNeely Open at the cottage, a tournament started by his father over 3 decades ago. He also really enjoyed the many golf trips to North Carolina with Gary Young, Paul Aspinwall and Paul Garde. Most recently he enjoyed playing golf with the Chalet Golf Group.
Nothing made Wayne happier than taking a few bucks off of his friends or family playing a game of cards. Bonnie and Wayne played Euchre with the same group of friends for 37 years, who they travelled and spent many a New Year Eve with. Lawn darts was another pastime he enjoyed and would jump at chance to get everyone involved in an impromptu tournament.
He was a curler for 7 years at the Weston Golf & Country Club and volunteered with Bonnie at the Weston Waes Foodbank for 3 years.
We truly feel that Wayne was taken from us too soon and we will miss him dearly.
