It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Tom Dunnett on Thursday October 1st, 2026.
Loving husband to Emily, married August 4th, 1951. Although Mom passed away in 2022, Dad
continued to count their anniversary each year, this year being their 75th.
Tom was a beloved father to his girls, adored Nonno to his grandchildren, Nicole, Erika, Mackenzie
(& Ben) and Tom (& Jess), and his great grandchildren, Leo, Emilia, Emmett, Nora and Roman.
Tom’s immediate family was lucky to benefit from his love, sense of play and wisdom but Tom’s
influence reached farther than his closest circle. He was a devoted son, brother, uncle, friend,
neighbour and work-mate. Although an introvert at heart, he had a way of connecting with people,
making lasting relationships in every walk of his life.
He was a multi-faceted man: hardworking delivery boy, math whizz, dance enthusiast, athlete,
computer software developing pioneer, handyman supreme, magical kid magnet and sage advisor.
He demonstrated his love through acts of service and many were lucky enough to receive his
expressions of love this way.
He will be sorely missed. There will not be another like him.
In Tom's memory, donations to either Lung Cancer Canada or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
