Thane Murray

Thane Murray was a loving son, a caring brother, and an exceptional friend to many. He was an inspiration and leader in his community, and treated all who crossed his path with respect and kindness.

It was with heavy hearts that we said goodbye to him on September 18, 2021. We join with his family in thanking God for his life and we pray God's peace and comfort for his father Randy Hamilton, mother Dawn Murray, stepfather Marlon Williams, and siblings Tricia Murray, Adrian Hamilton, and Lyric James. He will be dearly missed by his aunts and great aunts and his uncles Patrick Phillips and Otayo Murray, his grand mothers Jo-ann Hamilton and Rosetta Murray and his girlfriend Janica Maya.

Thane was born October 18th ,1993 in Toronto and grew up In Regent Park where he made many lasting memories and strong friendships. Many will remember him from time on the basketball court. Others spent time with him at Northern Collegiate. For twelve years he gave his best at Toronto Parks and Recreation and was loved and respected by staff, kids and youth.

He was a caring, loving, talented, and supportive individual. Whether listening to music, playing basketball, camping with friends, Thane always took the time to check in. Throughout his whole life he remembered what was important and lived that out.
