Suyeko (Sue) Michibata passed away peacefully in her sleep at Chartwell Retirement Home Scarlett Heights in Etobicoke on Monday, October 10, 2022 at the age of 93. Loved and survived by sons Thomas and Glenn (Angie) and grandchildren Cori and Matthew. Predeceased by her husband Shioge (2021), brother Bill and sisters Jean, Fumi, Kay, Chris and Shirley. An outgoing and cheerful person, Suyeko loved to play the piano and sing at the Toronto Buddhist Church Sr. Karaoke Club. Suyeko also enjoyed playing tennis. She had an optimistic view of life even when the chips were down. Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Road (north of Lawrence Ave. W.) Weston, on Sunday, October 16 from 2-5 p.m. A funeral service will take place on Sunday, November 6 at 3 p.m. also at Ward Funeral Home.
