Susan Buchanan (nee Penny)

Passed away peacefully on February 18, 2012 at the Billings Court Manor, Burlington, in her 82nd year. Devoted and loving wife of the late Thomas Edward Buchanan (2006); caring mother of Judy, husband Ron McDonald, and Brenda Ann Buchanan; grandmother of Paul McDonald and Andrea, husband Zandro Chan; and great-grandmother of Asher and Ryder Chan. Susan will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her siblings Mary Cole, Gill and David Penny of Glace Bay, NS; Ethel White of Cambridge, ON; and George and Wayne Penny of Halifax, NS; as well as many family and friends around the world. Susan's family would like to express a heart-felt thank you to the dedicated and caring staff at Billings Court Manor. Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 109 Reynolds Street, Oakville, ON, on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 from 1 – 3 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 3 p.m. in the chapel, reception to follow. As per Susan's wishes, Brenda Ann, Judy and family, will bring her ashes to Cape Breton this summer where she'll rest with their Dad at Forest Haven Memorial Gardens, Glace Bay, NS.
