Apted, Susan Anne (nee Howell)

May 3, 1946 – April 10, 2012

Peacefully, after a short illness, Sue passed away on April 10th, with her family by her side. Beloved wife of Richard for 44 years. Loving mother of Scott (and his wife January) and Jill (and her husband Jon). Proud and adored grandmother to Emily, Samuel, Hannah and Shannon. Devoted sister to Peter, and his wife Leslie, and Barb (2001) and dear aunt to her nieces and nephews, Todd (and Elizabeth), Amy, Andrew, Michael and Lauren. She is admiringly remembered by her extended family, and the many cherished friends made in her long teaching career and through her many interests, activities and charitable work.

Sue touched the hearts of everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her kind, generous, and empathetic personality, mixed with a keen sense of humour, enabled her to bring out the best in us all.
She will be profoundly missed.
Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 109 Reynolds Street, Oakville (905) 844-3221 on Sunday, April 15th from 2-5pm.
A Celebration of Susan’s Life will be held at St. Jude’s Anglican Church on Monday, April 16th at 1:30pm
