It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dearest Sultana Tudorita Tripcea Peacefully passed away at Etobicoke General Hospital on Thursday, January 25, 2024 in her 88th year.
She was a devoted mother to Carmen (late Carmelo) & grandmother to Roxana. She will be lovingly remembered by her extended family & friends. A woman of strength beyond expectation, she was dedicated to her family and was the matriarch of her household. Sultana’s eyes lit up when she was surrounded by her family. There are no words to describe her immeasurable love for them. Always cooking traditional Romanian meals, her family remembers her traditional clatite, a Romanian crepe that no one could make quite as well.
A woman who was a devout Orthodox Christian, a member of the Romanian Orthodox Church. Though she was an independent woman, she was nonetheless a powerful prayer warrior, her family recalls her praying regularly. The positive impact her many years of faithful praying have had on her family, her friends, and the world at large can certainly be felt.
Sultana loved any excuse to celebrate. So long as there was music, and friends she loved gatherings and dancing with a smile on her face, a drink in her hand and love in her heart.
All are welcome to gather at Ward Funeral Home, 4671 Hwy 7, Woodbridge on Thursday, February 1, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the Ward Funeral Home Chapel on Friday at 10:00 a.m. with burial to follow at Beechwood Cemetery.
