Stamatia 'Toula' Dritsas, 85, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at Toronto Western Hospital, where she was admitted after spending nearly 8 years at the Hellenic Home for Seniors, Toronto.
Toula was born on March 23, 1940 to Sophia and Dimitrios Dritsas in Athens, Greece, where she resided for 30 years before immigrating to Canada.
Toula was a devoted mother to Rania (Sean) Burns. Deeply mourned by Nieces and Nephews, Jim Dritsas, Marika (Peter) Kalantzis, Chris (Stephanie) Dritsas, Peter (Caterina) Dritsas, Sophia (John) Cristello. Fotini (Ilias) Migdali and Petrana Kamenova-Pantou.
Toula was preceded in death by her parents, beloved brother George Dritsas, sister Dimitra (Charalambos) Pantos, nephews Kostantino and Dimitrios Pantos.
Toula was known for being a wonderful cook. She delighted in preparing tasty Greek dishes to share with her family and friends! She loved attending Church and reading countless hours of Spiritual texts.
She will be sorely missed by her family, friends and care-givers and will always be in our hearts.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Hellenic Home for the Aged-Toronto in Stamatia's memory are welcome.
