Sister Clare De Silva RGS

Sister Clare De Silva passed away peacefully on September 1, 2018 at Providence Health Center. Sister was born May 1, 1924 and grew up in Bathurst, NB. She entered the novitiate of Our Lady of Charity of Good Shepherd in Halifax and made her first profession of vows on August 28, 1944. Sr. Clare lived her religious life prayerfully. Her gentle caring nature was a great benefit to all who encountered her both in ministry and in Community. Her thoughtful nature manifested itself in the many times she went out of her way to minister to her sisters in Community.

She moved with her Community of sisters to 25 Good Shepherd Court, Toronto from Halifax.
Everyone remember her mainly because of her simplicity and thoughtful little ways.
She will be missed by her Religious Community, Good Shepherd Mission Partners, family and friends.
We thank God for Sister Clare’s life of simplicity.
