Sheila Stoyanchin

We are heartbroken to share of the passing of our mother, Vasiliki (Sheila) Stoyanchin on May 24th. Sheila was born on December 30th, 1930 in the village of Skopia, Florina, Greece to Thomas and Anna Mitskos (predeceased). She had one sister, Tassa (predeceased). Sheila came to Toronto, Ontario, Canada in 1951 and was the beloved wife of Stephen Stoyanchin (predeceased) for 45 years. She was the proud mother to George (Elizabeth), Jim, and Kathy (Dan).

She was a woman of great strength who loved cooking, baking, gardening and spending time with her family and extended family. Sheila loved nothing more than chatting and sharing stories with her family and friends. Sheila will be greatly missed by her children, nieces and nephews, extended family and dear friends. 

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 29th at Ward Funeral Home at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation which was a cause close to Sheila’s heart.
