Sharon Elaine Blackburn-Bridges

Passed away in hospital after a long battle with illness, her daughter by her side. A feisty, courageous and caring woman who would not hesitate to chat to anyone, sharing her fun and interesting stories. Sharon was fiercely loyal bragging about her family, especially her 3 grandchildren. She was proud of her career as a correctional officer at a woman's prison showing her badge any chance she got even to the end. She was married to Dick in 1966 then after 20 years and 2 children they went separate ways meeting her current love and husband Peter who she married in June 1987. She is in peace and now has great joy. She leaves behind a loving dedicated husband Peter, daughter and her husband Sherry-Lynn and Dan, grandchildren Joshua, Sarah and Mary-Jane.
