Sestina Gallucci

It is with profound sadness and loving memories that our family announces the passing of Sestina Gallucci who left us peacefully in her 88th year on February 11th, 2016, feast day of Our Lady of Lourdes. Born on January 20, 1929 and predeceased by her beloved husband Francesco Alfonso Gallucci after 65 years of marriage. Loving mother of Josephine (Joe Constantino), Franca (Domenic DiGiacomo) and John (Silvia). Cherished Nanna of Angela (Andy Crescenzi), Andrea (Frank Pennese), Joseph, Alessandra, John, Stephanie and Marc. Devoted great-grandmother of Emma, Kate and Ava. Dear sister of Anna, Rita and Liberata and the late Francesco, Pasquale, Eugenio, Zaccaria, Dora, Rocco and Mario De Vuono.
Sestina was a woman of great faith whose life embodied the values of love, compassion and service. Her favourite motto and one that she lived by, was “Do good and have no fear”. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her for her goodness and integrity.
The family wishes to thank Drs. Maida, Nadalini, Varga, Khalil, Fisher, Zeller and Acosta. We are grateful for the care Sestina received from the lead nurses Jodelle and Christine and their respective teams at Villa Leonardo Gambin. As well, we are especially grateful to all of our compassionate caregivers: Ivy Peart, Maida Tablac, Munisa Idiris , Matilda Velocci , Teresa Naquita and Margherita Cappucci. Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Road, (north of Lawrence Avenue West) Toronto, on Monday February 15th, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 p. m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at All Saints’ Roman Catholic Church, 1415 Royal York Road, Toronto on Tuesday February 16th at 10:30 a. m. The immediate family will then proceed to Queen of Heaven Cemetery for a private entombment. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a donation to a charity of choice.
