Born on January 2nd, 1978, in Banská Bystrica, Slovakia, Samuel was the second son of Samuel Sr. and Zlatka. Samuel lived a life defined by enthusiasm, dedication, and kindness. In his youth he was an amateur kickboxer, and he remained passionate about fitness and health all throughout his life. He loved exercising, regularly going to the gym and cycling. Samuel was known for being big man with a big heart, shown as he took pride in helping his family with strenuous tasks. Samuel was incredibly social and friendly wherever he went, and as a result he made many friends around the world whom he communicated with often.
In 1999, Samuel immigrated to Toronto, Canada, where he embraced new challenges with perseverance and resilience. He proudly became a Canadian citizen and held his Slovak heritage close to his heart, navigating the newfound country with the company of fellow Slovak-Canadians. His professional journey included working as an AZ truck driver for Coca-Cola Bottling Company and later concluding his career as a Transit Operator for MiWay Transit. Samuel deeply valued his work as a bus driver, as his father was also a bus driver in Slovakia.
Samuel’s life was a testament of strength and courage. In his lifetime he survived two catastrophic car accidents that resulted in traumatic brain injuries. Despite these hardships, Samuel faced his struggles with determination and optimism. In October 2023, when he became disabled, he continued to endure with a positive attitude, striving to heal and improve. Samuel lived a life of perseverance. But upon facing significant physical and mental challenges over the last two years, ultimately his body could no longer continue.
Samuel will forever be remembered as a wonderful engaging person. Samuel’s legacy is one of love, determination and enthusiasm for life towards his family and friends. His enthusiastic spirit and dedication will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
It is in deep grief, the Krnac family will have a private funeral ceremony for immediate family only. We thank you for respecting our need for privacy and solitude. Samuel will be laid to rest at Mount Hope Catholic Cemetery on Erskine Ave in Toronto.
