July 19, 1919 – April 8, 2016

Passed away peacefully in his 97th year. Loving husband to Rosalie. Devoted father to Vincent (Bette), Beth (Vic), Theresa (Anton), Toni (Ted). Predeceased by Salv Jr. and Victoria. Cherished grandfather to Kathleen, Salvatore Christopher, Rosemarie, Angela, Jonathan, Joseph, Vicki, and Catherine. Proud great-grandfather to Benjamin, Sophia, Lilyanna, Alyssa, and William. Lovingly remembered by siblings Josephine, Annette and Michael.
Affectionately known as “Big Thunder” at the Ontario Food Terminal, who believed that “the early bird got the deal”.

Heartfelt thanks to Dr. Vincent Maida for his excellent care and compassion, and also to the staff at Scarlett Heights Residence, especially Amanda.

Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Road (North of Lawrence Ave. W.) Weston, on Tuesday, April 12th, 2016 from 2-4 p.m. and 6- 9 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 2 Richardson Avenue on Wednesday April 13th at 9:30 a.m.

Interment to follow at Mount Hope Cemetery.
