COATES, Ruth Elinor - Passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on July 4, 2010 in her 81st year. Predeceased by her loving husband Eric (1986). Loving mother of Mark and Lisa (David). Beloved Gramma of Gillian and Adam. A special thanks to Dr. Wilson and his staff at Humber River Regional Hospital Oncology Department, as well as the nurses from the third floor B Wing, for their care during Ruth's stay. Thank you to her homecare workers Davina and Shannice for their wonderful care and friendship. Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Road (north of Lawrence Avenue West), Weston on Tuesday from 1-2 p.m. A Celebration of Ruth's Life will be held in the chapel on Tuesday at 2 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
