It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Rudolph Gonsalves on Saturday July 18, 2026 at Humber River Hospital.
Rudolph was born in Guyana and immigrated to Canada where he lived with his Aunt Dotty and cousins.
Rudolph is predeceased by his parents Albert (Bertie) and Cecelia Gonsalves and brothers Raymond, Michael (Linda), Benedict (Debby), and Gabriel. Rudolph was a loving father to Daniel. He left behind his siblings Joseph, Rosemary (Terry), Elizabeth, Francis (Almarie), Ingrid (Brian), Steven (Denise), and many nephews and nieces.
Rudolph’s family will always cherish the memories they have shared with him over the years. Those memories will forever remain a part of all of their lives and will remain in their hearts always.
Rudolph was a devoted Christian whose unwavering faith touched countless lives. He was well known at Dundas Square for boldly and passionately preaching the Word of God, sharing the message of Jesus Christ with compassion, conviction, and love. His presence became a familiar and inspiring sight to many who passed through the square. Though he is no longer with us, Rudolph’s faithfulness, courage, and commitment to spreading the Gospel will continue to be remembered. May his legacy inspire others to stand firm in their faith and proclaim God’s love with the same dedication he demonstrated throughout his life.
“Well done, good and faithful servant.” — Matthew 25:23
