Witness to two World Wars; the evolution of flight and the automobile; the birth of television and a digital world. Immigrated to Canada in mid-life, thus beginning another great adventure. Always a skilled and nimble-fingered craftswoman, she was creator of Canada’s finest teddy-bears.
Wife to Tony, mother to Nicholas, Penelope, Deborah, Stephen, Mark, Jane, Alexander and Claire and most generous mother-in-law to their partners. Grandmother to 19 and great grandmother to seven, hers was a full and well-lived time on Earth. Died peacefully, aged 96, on February 3rd, 2011. She will be sorely missed by family and friends alike – and by the community to which she gave so freely of her time.
