Rose MacMullin

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Rose MacMullin on November 11th 2025. Surrounded by family and closest friends. Born October 29th 1937 in River Ryan, Cape Breton N.S, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Margaret “Peggy” (MacLellan) MacPherson.

Rose moved to Ontario at a young age where she met and married the love of her life Daniel “Bussy” MacMullin. If you knew Rose you knew her love for music and dancing, especially fiddle music and step dancing.

But above all family was everything to Rose. She took pride in the people she loved- children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. She made each person she met feel special and loved. If you were a friend you were part of her family.

Rose was the beloved wife of Daniel “Bussy” MacMullin. Loving Mother of Ian(Kiera), Owen(Karie), Darlene(Larry) and caring Grandmother of Jacob, Reed and Rory. Rose is also survived by sisters Christina “Tuddy” MacIntyre, Kaye Handrahan and sister in law Colleen MacPherson.

Besides her parents Rose was predeceased by sisters Florence(John), Margie(“Saucy” Johnny), Janie(Duncan), Mary Lizzie(“Fabby” Francis), Belle(Joe). Her one and only brother who she loved very much Anthony “Junior”, and brothers in-law Boyd and Wiggy.

We would like to thank the staff of Kipling Acres long-term care home for their compassionate care and support.
