Rosalyn Stickley

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Rosalyn ‘Roz’ Judith Stickley (née Bragg) on the 19th of September, 2026, in her 77th year. Survived in sorrow by her loving lifelong partner Michael, sons John (Rosanna) and Christopher (Summer), granddaughters Sara (Mark), Emma, Elle and Lily, doting sisters Pauline, Nellie and Emelene, and many members of her extended family. Roz joins her beloved parents, Pauline and Myles, and other siblings, in eternal rest.

Kind-hearted and bubbly, Roz was able to make friends in any room or situation. Family was her world, and in her eyes, everyone belonged. Raising two teenage boys on her own, dealing with their pranks and antics, Roz both built and taught resilience. Never one to quiet down, Roz supported and cherished two generations in everything they did. She was the quintessential superfan, cheering from the stands of many hockey arenas, baseball diamonds, volleyball courts, music halls, and theatres. Roz’s sons and granddaughters have always known that she loved them to the moon and back.

A music-lover, Roz was at her happiest attending concerts and shows with Michael. When not in the crowd, an afternoon spent on the balcony together, listening to music while watching and feeding the birds and squirrels, was to her, perfection.

Roz frequently traveled with Michael to his native Montreal, visiting his parents Terri and Al, thankfully remaining a steadfast fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs while tolerating Michael’s affection for the Boston Bruins. Together they supported the Blue Jays and Raptors, and rightfully so.

Roz was one with her kitchen, cooking and feeding her family on Friday pizza nights and pasta Sundays, turkey soup after every Thanksgiving, and tortellini on birthdays.

Roz’s love and light will live forever in her family and the lives of all those she touched.

The family thanks the staff at Etobicoke General Hospital for their exceptional skill, exhaustive efforts and thoughtful attention throughout Roz’s time in their care.
