In Loving memory of Rosa Virginia Burgos Chang
September 14, 1943 - July 14, 2025
With hearts full of love and sorrow, we announce the passing of Rosa Virginia Burgos Chang, who left this world at the age of 81 on July 14, 2025, at Etobicoke General Hospital surrounded by her loved ones. Born on September 14, 1943, in Colimes, Ecuador. Rosa lived a life marked by elegance, joy and deep devotion to her family. She was a radiant and charismatic woman - always full of life and glowing with a smile on her face.
Her laughter filled the room, her presence brought comfort, and her impeccable style reminded everyone around her of the beauty of self-care and self-confidence. Rosa truly loved life, and more than anything, she loved her family.
She was a woman of incredible strength and warmth. Loving, caring, supportive and humorous, she held family together with grace and unwavering dedication. Rosa’s life was filled with meaningful memories, and among the most cherished were her annual trips to Hawaii with her beloved husband, evenings spent out with dear friends, and the simple but beautiful joy of sharing meals with her daughter and granddaughters. These were the moments where her love, laughter, and generous spirit shined most.
What made Rosa special was her ability to put her family first. No matter the circumstances, she was there- with a kind word, a helping hand and a heart wide open.
Her legacy of love continues to live on through her devoted husband, Wirlong; her only daughter, Cindy; her beloved son-in-law, José; her granddaughters, Ana and Emilia; her loyal dog, Coco; and the many family members and friends who held a special place in her heart.
Although she is no longer with us in body, we take comfort in knowing that she has been reunited with her parents, Heriberto and Francisca. Her dear brothers Tomás, Arturo, and Julio; and her cherished nephew Peter. Rosa’s life was a beautiful expression of love, joy, and strength. Her memory will forever remain alive in the hearts of all who knew her, and her light will continue to guide and inspire us every day.
