Ronald "Ron" Hoar

After an 8-week stay, Ron passed away peacefully at Etobicoke General Hospital on Monday, September 1, 2025. He was the beloved son of the late Lloyd and Frances Hoar of Mississauga, loving father to Ian (Claudia), Stephanie (Sean Birch), step-father to Raquel Martinovich, and cherished grandfather of Caitlyn, Samantha, Seamus, Massimo, Zoey and Mia. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Christine, his sister Diane and his brother Larry.

Ron will be remembered for his kindness and generosity, his gift for forming lasting friendships, and the warmth he brought to every gathering. He began his career as an auto mechanic at a young age before moving into management roles within larger companies. Outside of work, he found great joy in rock hunting in the Bancroft area, a passion that brought him peace and left treasured memories for his loved ones to hold onto.

Ron will be remembered with love by all who knew him.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Etobicoke General Hospital for their compassionate care during Ron’s stay.
