Ronald Excell

After a lengthy, courageous battle with cancer, Ron passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on January 27, 2011. Predeceased by his beloved wife Dorinda (2009); Dear father to Andrew (Brenda), Gillian (Don) Lange and Jennifer (Daniel) Trabucco; much loved Grandad to Adam, Alison, & William, Emily, Timothy & Madeleine, Laura, Natalie, Eva & Chloe.

Born in England in 1922, Ron was one of 7 children. A veteran of WWII, he and Dorinda emigrated to Canada in 1953 to start a new life.

After retiring, Ron and Dorinda most enjoyed travelling, visiting family and maintaining their home and garden.

In his final years, Ron was happiest when recounting stories of his life or playing a game of Shang Hai with his grandchildren.

Special thanks to Eileen, Yolanda, and Jane and to the wonderful OTMH staff on 3 East, for Dad’s excellent care during his final hospital stay.

We invite family and friends to the Ward Funeral Home, 109 Reynolds St. Oakville (905-844-3221), to remember Ron on February 5. 2011.
