It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Randy Butts, who passed away peacefully on October 16, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born on July 11, 1944, he lived a life defined by love, kindness, hard work, and an unwavering devotion to the people who meant the most to him. He was a loving husband to his wife, Donna, a devoted father to his daughter, Lori, and a cherished grandpa to Payton and Quinn. He was also a beloved brother, uncle, son, and friend to so many whose lives were made better simply by knowing him.
He was a man with a heart of gold, a larger-than-life personality, and a warmth that made people feel welcome wherever he went. Kind, hardworking, charismatic, funny, and passionate, he had a special way of bringing people together and making even the simplest moments memorable. His sense of humour, his generous spirit, and his ability to make others smile were just a few of the many things that made him so special.
Above all, he was a man who always put others before himself. He would do anything for anyone, never hesitating to lend a helping hand or show up for someone in need. His love was not just something he expressed in words, but something he demonstrated every day through his actions. He gave so much of himself to the people around him, asking for little in return, and his generosity and compassion left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
To his family and friends, he was so much more than a husband, father, and grandpa and friend. He was a source of love, strength, laughter, and comfort. He was someone they could count on, someone who cared deeply, and someone whose presence made life brighter.
He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten. Though the days ahead will not be the same without him, his memory will live on in every story shared, every laugh remembered, and every moment his family and friends feel his love in their hearts.
A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. He may be gone from our sight, but he will never be gone from our hearts. Rest peacefully. You were loved more than words could ever express, and you will be missed more than words could ever say.
A celebration of life will be held on October 31, 2026 from 12-3pm at the Brampton Legion Branch 15 (80 Mary St, Brampton, Ontario).
