Robin Ann Walker

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear daughter Robin Ann Walker on Saturday, June 14th, 2025. Robin was born to parents Sylvia and Cyril on August 6th, 1972, in North York, along with her twin sister Nicole, who sadly, passed away the following day.

Robin’s family consisted of her mother Sylvia and Stepdad Rob, and her father Cyril and stepmom (Mary) Lou. During her recent hospitalization she delighted in telling everyone that she had “2 Moms and 2 Dads”.

In addition, Robin was so happy to have a brother, Scott, and 2 sisters, Ellyn, and the late Katelyn. Then her family expanded to include her sister-in-law Wan, and shortly after that, she was thrilled to become “Auntie Robin” when Coco, India and Koa were born.

When Robin turned 40, she took up residence in Farintosh House, a group home run by Participation House, where she enjoyed the friendship of 8 other residents and numerous caring staff. While living there she enjoyed many great activities and programs and particularly loved going to water aerobics. Of special mention is Robin’s "best buddy" Steven Davis, with whom she shared a very special friendship, and who always looked out for her.

In spite of Robin’s physical and mental challenges, she was a cheery bubbly and happy person. She enjoyed attending summer camp, spending weekends on the boat, making new friends, and being with family. She was kind, gentle and loved animals, especially her late Yorkies Royal and Abby, and her friend’s 2 Shih Tzu’s, Freddy and Mimi. She also liked music, jigsaws on her iPad, and Facetiming with Steven. Most of all, she was delighted to have her own cell phone and kept it close at all times for frequent calls with special friends & family.

Robin was the essence of goodness, happiness and innocence. She brought so much joy to so many people and she will be dearly missed.

Friends and family are invited to A Celebration of Robin’s life on Sunday, June 22nd at Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Road (north of Lawrence Ave. W.), Weston at 1 p.m., with visitation from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that you consider donations to Participation House (Farintosh House) or the Ontario Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (OSPCA).
