Robert Ruton

Bob passed away peacefully, and on his terms, at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital on March 1, 2015 at 87 years of age. Bob was the beloved husband of Barbara Ruton (nee Cotter) and committed father of Steven Ruton. He will be missed by his daughter-in-law Cheryl Ruton and grandchildren Madison and Tyler. He was a man who valued commitment, as evidenced by his 54 year marriage and 44 year career, all with Christie Brown & Company. He was also active at Knox Presbyterian Church in Oakville and the Rotary Club of Oakville Trafalgar. He will be remembered as a gentle, patient man, always focused on the needs of family. At his request, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Ward Funeral Home, 109 Reynolds St., Oakville on Thursday March 5 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, 89 Dunn St., Oakville on Friday March 6 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to Knox Presbyterian Church or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
