Robert Henderson

HENDERSON, Robert (Bob)Passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on May 9th, 2013 in his 73rd year. Robert was born in Glasgow, Scotland and was eldest of three siblings. He was the loving son Harry (predeceased) and Mamie (predeceased). Robert is also survived by his two sisters Lena (Junior predeceased) and Mary (Davie).Robert is survived by his loving wife of 53 years and best friend Greta (nee McLaughlin). He will be sadly missed by his 6 children and spouses: Steve (Linda), Mark (Karyssa), Sean (Susan), Kevin (Jennifer), Lesley (Kruno), Anne (Christo predeceased). Robert will also forever be in the hearts and minds of his 12 grandchildren: Chelsea, Samantha, Nicole, Robert, Juliana, Sadey, Cameron, Eric, Ronan, Torin, Gavin and Luka.Robert immigrated to Canada from Scotland in 1961 with his wife Margaret to build a better life for his family…he achieved this beyond his expectations. After a 39 year career with Ontario Hydro, he retired in 2004 and has enjoyed precious moments with family and friends that has enriched his remaining days and even more so, those around him. Robert will always be remembered for his wonderful smile, positive spirit and his quiet inspiration. A special thank you to all the Doctors and staff in ICU at Brampton Civic Hospital and especially the Dialysis Unit for their special care over the last number of years. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Kidney Society would be appreciated.
