Robert Edward Earle Harris
April 22, 1941 – March 29, 2012
Bob went to be with his Lord on March 29, 2012 peacefully in his sleep at the Brampton Civic Hospital. He was born in Woodstock, N.B. to Salvation Army Officer parents. Predeceased by his parents Brigadier Earle and Clarice Sparks Harris and his step-mother Brigadier Ruth Harris. Left to mourn his loss is his wife Anne (Bridges) of 30 years. Sister Yvonne and her husband Chester Brown of Windsor, N.S.; Ivy and her husband James Wasson of Trenton, N.S.; step-sister Gwen and her husband George Skelton of Victoria, B.C. Also 9 nieces and nephews; 20 great nieces and nephews and 3 great great nephews and niece. He leave behind his mother in law Maggie Bridges, sister in law Kathy and nephew Chris Bridges. He will also be remembered by many other relatives and friends both in Canada and the States. Bob served for 28 years in the Royal Canadian Air Force Military Police and 18 years as a special constable for Peel Regional Police. Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home “Brampton Chapel” 52 Main Street South, (Hwy 10), Brampton on Thursday from 2-4 and 7 – 9 p.m. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Salvation Army Brampton Citadel, 9395 Bramalea Rd. N. on Saturday, April 7, 2012 at 11 a.m. followed by a reception in the gym. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Salvation Army Brampton Citadel would be appreciated.
