Robert “Bob” Edward Dennison, born April 20, 1940, entered into rest unexpectedly after a short illness on August 16, 2026, going Home to be with his Lord.
Bob was a steadfast presence in the lives of his family, cherishing his role as a loving husband, devoted father, and proud grandfather. He is survived by his beloved wife, Doreen (nee Boden), who was his partner in life’s journey. Bob’s memory lives on in his children: Beth Koehler (Manfred), Sharon Dennison, and Jonathan Dennison (Charmain), each of whom carry forward his values and spirit. His grandchildren—Alexandra Donnelly (James), Ashley Robbins (Colin), and Maxwell Dennison—were great sources of pride and joy for Bob. He is also remembered by his sister, Hope Gronwall, his sisters-in-law Sandra Dennison and Ingrid Dennison, many nieces and nephews, as well as the Boden family, with whom he was very close.
He follows in passing his cherished parents, Louis and Evelyn, as well as his brothers, Don and David Dennison.
Bob’s early years were shaped by a strong work ethic instilled as a boy, starting at age ten in a local meat shop. With dedication and diligence, he became a skilled meat cutter and devoted 37 years of his professional life to Dominion/ A & P before retiring. His colleagues and customers alike recall Bob’s dependability and integrity, values that guided him throughout his career and daily endeavors.
Beyond his vocation, Bob found enrichment through his passions and the commitments of his heart. He was a proud Harley-Davidson enthusiast, riding for many years and carrying a fond admiration for motorcycles even as his health changed. His faith played a profound and central role in his life; Bramalea Baptist Church was his spiritual home for over fifty years. Through the decades, Bob served in various roles—deacon, board member, and on the missions team—positions he took on with humility and deep pride. His contributions to the church community reflected his spirit of service and unwavering faith.
Bob also delighted in learning about his heritage, investing time in researching his family ancestry. He took great satisfaction in uncovering and preserving stories from the past, cherishing the connections they brought to his present.
Above all else, Bob considered his greatest accomplishment to be his family. They were his lifelong source of fulfillment, love, and pride.
