Robert 'Bob' Baverstock

Peacefully, in the early morning of May 25th, 2012 Bob passed away at the age of 74.
He will be cherished, loved and never forgotten by his children: Mike, Diane Lentz, Joe, Janice Goulart and by his grandchildren: Elizabeth, Julie, Mandy, Joshua, Cody, Anthony and Brett, as well as, his longtime companion Jackie Bourne. Bob was a longtime resident of Oakville operating “Bob’s Auto Service” in Oakville for decades. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at O.T.M.H. – Fourth Floor Centre, who in the past two weeks showed kindness and compassion, ensuring that dad and all the family were comfortable till the end, and even allowing Diane and Janice to camp out in his room this past week. Special thanks to nurse Kim you were great and to Yolanda from Palliative Care, you were awesome! You ladies made it easier. Visitation will be held at the Ward Funeral Home, 109 Reynolds Street, Oakville (905-844-3221), on Thursday, May 31st from 3 – 5 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service at 5 p.m. Reception to follow. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Liver Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society or the Oakville Hospital Foundation.
