Whitney, Rita Ellen (nee O’Brien)
1920- 2014 – passed away peacefully at The Golden Plough Lodge, Cobourg, Ontario on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at the age of 94. Beloved wife of the late Jack Whitney. Loving mother of Robert (Elaine), Tom (Anne), Wendy (Paul) and Deborah. Cherished Nanna of Dorothy, Beth, Laurie, Christopher, Leslie, Catherine, Carla (Jim) and Michael. Great grandmother to Trystan. Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Road (North of Lawrence Ave. W.) Weston, on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John the Evangelist Church, 49 George Street, Weston on Friday at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Sanctuary Park Cemetery.
