It’s hard to forget someone who gave us so much to remember.
Mom…also referred to as “Smiling Rita” by the nurses and support staff at Weston Terrace. She was well cared for and treated with great respect. Mom always put others before herself all of her life.
Mom is now re-united with dad (Louie).
She was survived by her 4 children – Loretta (Bob), Theresa (Joe), Bev (Brian) and Mike (Valerie), and by her brother Don. Nanny to 6 grandchildren – Lisa, Steve, Patrick, Melanie, Brian and Jennifer. Great-grandmother to Damien, Jayden, Dillon, Izabella, Giordana, Eric, Owen, Jack and Michael. Sister to Doug, Greg and the late Jack and Leila.
She was an avid reader, loved flower and plants, and enjoyed bingo in her earlier years. Her winnings were split between her four children. She also enjoyed Texas Hold Em after a holiday meal with the family.
