Born in Pforzheim, Germany came to Canada in 1957. The lord called her to come home on Saturday November 21,2020. Peacefully with her family by her side at the nursing home in Woodbridge. Rita was the beloved wife of the late Heinz Becher for 56 years. Loving mother(mother in law) of Karl-Paul (Sue), Jimmy (Mindy),Terry (Helen) and Susan . Cherished by her grandchildren Michael, Ashley, Joshua, Chelsea,Jessica,Meghan ,Hollie ,Carly also Becky and Sarah.Her great grandchildren Kayden,Alayah,Bentley,Wyatt,Hazel, Maverick and Theo. Rita will be fondly remembered by her sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews in Ontario and Germany and Pre-deceased by her parents Regina and Christian and her brother Peter in Germany.
A memorial service will be held at Ward Funeral Home, 4671 Highway 7, Woodbridge on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 4 pm with family gathering from 3 - 4 pm. Due to capacity guidelines, the family is reserving attendance to those who have been invited.
Wearing of masks or face coverings by everyone remains mandatory as per provincial regulations.

On the anniversary weekend of Rita's passing, the family is having a memorial service to commemorate her life
