Richard "Dick" Harcourt

Peacefully, after a courageous battle with cancer, at Oakville, on October 2, 2014. Beloved husband of Peggy (nee D’Arcy) and loving father of Michelle. Brother of Lalie (Don Park). Brother-in-law of Jim D’Arcy (Sharon). Uncle of Brian D’Arcy (Jennifer), Dawna D’Arcy and Matthew Park. Great-uncle of Cameron D’Arcy. Dick was the son of the late John and Vieve Harcourt. He was a graduate of Appleby College and the University of New Brunswick.

Visitation will be held at Ward Funeral Home, 109 Reynolds Street, Oakville, on Tuesday, October 7, from 4:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Memorial Service will be held at St. Jude’s Anglican Church, 160 William Street, Oakville, on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. with a reception to follow in the Church Hall. A private family interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ian Anderson House, P.O. Box 61034, 511 Maple Grove Drive, Oakville, Ontario L6J 7P5, or the Canadian Cancer Society.
