Norman “Rex” Sweetapple
Was suddenly taken from our loving family on Friday, December 16, 2011 at Princess Margaret Hospital. Rex, beloved husband of Louise. Loving father of Doug and his wife Lois. Devoted grandfather of Curt. Dear brother of Jean Blackwood of Glovertown, NFLD, the late Ralph Sweetapple of Grand Falls, NFLD and Flight Sgt. Walter Sweetapple of Glovertown NFLD. Rex will be sadly missed by a number of nieces and nephews, especially Judy, the daughter he never had. Dad enjoyed the cottage life in Kearney and enjoyed the many friendships on Parr Lake as well as the friends in his neighbourhood. Rex was a longtime member of Downsview United Church and enjoyed the fellowship of the parishioners. Dad worked for the Toronto Board of Education for 25 years and was well liked and respected by his co-workers. Dad will live in our hearts forever. Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Road (North of Lawrence Ave. W.) Weston on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Celebration of Rex’s life will be held at Downsview United Church (2822 Keele Street) on Wednesday at 11 am followed by a private family interment at Westminster Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to The Cancer Research Society wwwcancerresearchsociety.ca would be appreciated. Please visit a Book of Memories at www.wardfuneralhome.com
