With deep love and sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Reta Mae Wilson, who lived a full and meaningful life to the age of 87.
Reta was the devoted wife of the late Al Wilson, with whom she shared a deep and lasting love. It brings comfort to know they are now reunited, together again in the peace and light of heaven.
She was a loving and dedicated mother to Ruth, Linda, Daniel, Timothy, Nancy, and Brian. With strength, resilience, and unwavering devotion, she raised her six children—largely on her own—instilling in them the values of hard work, faith, and compassion.
Reta worked diligently as a school photographer while caring for her family, always putting her children first. Her tireless efforts and selflessness were the foundation of a close and loving family.
A woman of deep and abiding faith, Reta was a longtime and committed member of Queensway Cathedral. She found great joy in her church community, where she cherished friendships and spent meaningful time in worship and in her relationship with God.
She was a proud and loving grandmother to Michael, Melissa, Lisa, Sara, Stephen, Michelle, Charlene, Christopher, Lindsay, Jeffrey, Timmy, Christine, Joshua and Brianna, each of whom brought her immense joy and pride.
She was also blessed with great-grandchildren Mika, Kenna, Lakyn, Cassidy, Lacey, Paisley, Kohlson, Italo, Bella, Mia, Amelia, Roxanne, Carter, and Connor, who were a source of great happiness in her later years.
Reta will be remembered for her strength, her faith, and the love she gave so freely. She was deeply loved and will be dearly missed by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and all who knew her.
Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the love she leaves behind.
In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate a donation to Haven on the Queensway in Reta's memory.
