Rema Allen-Yellery

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Rema Victoria Allen-Yellery on May 1, 2025, at the age of 92.

Born in Manchester, Jamaica, to Doris and Augusto, Rema immigrated to Canada on July 26, 1960, building a life marked by love, resilience, and generosity. She was the beloved widow of Alvin Milton Yellery.

Rema leaves behind her cherished step-children, brother George Thomas, sister Laura Biggs, and many dear nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

She dedicated over 20 years of her life working as both an insurance supervisor and a nurse. Passionate and curious, Rema pursued baking at George Brown College to deepen her skills in one of her favorite pastimes. An avid gardener and a generous host, she found joy in nurturing her plants and sharing baked goods with those she loved.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 11, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Ward Funeral Home Weston Chapel, 2035 Weston Rd, Toronto, ON M9N 1X7.

A funeral service will follow on Monday, May 12, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Stephen Downsview Anglican Church, 2259 Jane St, North York, ON M3M 1A6. Click Here to View Service
